A standard accessible toilet does not meet everyone’s needs. Changing Places provides a safe and dignified facility with sufficient space, a ceiling hoist, a height adjustable adult changing bench and room for assistants.

Each project must comply with national building regulations. It should also follow EN 17210, common Nordic recommendations and recognised Changing Places guidance.

Changing Places must be included from the beginning of the project. Room size, structural capacity, lifting equipment, alarms, ventilation, lighting, contrast and accessible routes must be planned as one complete solution.
