Many people need a changing facility with a large adult-sized bench, lifting equipment and room for one or more assistants. Without it, they may be changed on the floor, have to leave early or be unable to take part.

Register the projectThe council for persons with disabilities asks the chief municipal executive to map the municipality’s existing accessible toilets and changing facilities for young people and adults. The review should describe location, size, equipment, access, opening hours and operational responsibility. The council further asks the municipality to assess where one or more Changing Places toilets should be established and to include the need in relevant plans, new buildings and major refurbishment projects.
